Shafi Alam Head of Direct-to-Consumer Business & Corporate Marketing Division, Samsung Gulf Electronics Appointed November 2021 Shafi Alam is the Head of Direct-to-Consumer Business & Corporate Marketing at Samsung Gulf Electronics. He is an industry leader responsible for all aspects of strategic marketing, e-commerce, brand, and communication campaigns across Samsung Gulf’s operational markets, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. In his role, Shafi focuses on building capacities and strengthing regional market leadership and excellence across customer experience, loyality, brand, customer intelligence, omni-channel sales and marketing, corporate communication and sustainability. Shafi joined Samsung Global headquarters- Mobile eXperience in Korea back in 2010, where he played a vital role in the launches of Samsung’s flagship mobile devices, the Galaxy S and the Note Series. He rose to become the Digital Innovation Manager, Global Marketing Operations at Samsung Global HQ. Prior to this, Shafi held roles in Oracle as a Senior Analyst and HP as a Senior Analyst. Shafi holds a master’s degree in International Business from the Graduate School of International Studies, Korea University, and a BA degree in Korean language from the Jawaharlal Nehru University in India.
