Helder Mota Filipe PhD in Pharmacology and graduate in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon and member of its Scientific Council, President (Bastonário) of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society, Member of the National Council of Ethics for the Life Sciences, Member of the National Health Council, Specialist in Regulatory Affairs (Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society), and Principal Investigator at the Institute for Evidence-Based Health (ISBE). He is a member of Infarmed’s Medicines Evaluation Committee. He is also a member of the ethics committee of the Algarve Biomedical Center and of the ethics committee of the University of Beira Interior. He is a certified Specialist in Regulatory Affairs by the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society. He has served as vice-president and president of INFARMED and was a member of the management board of the EMA. He was President of the Association of Portuguese-Speaking Pharmacists. He was also a member of Infarmed’s Health Technology Assessment Committee. He served on the Ethics Committee for Clinical Research and its executive committee. He has supervised more than a dozen doctoral theses and is the author of over one hundred peer-reviewed publications.
