Line Silsand is a senior researcher at the Norwegian Centre for E-Health Research, specializing in the assessment and implementation of digital health technologies (DHT). Her work explores how technology interacts with healthcare professionals and organizations during digital transformation, with a particular focus on evaluating the value, safety, and effectiveness of innovative solutions. Line’s research aims to bridge the gap between evidence generation and policy implementation, ensuring that digital health technologies are adopted in ways that improve patient outcomes and support sustainable healthcare systems. She is particularly interested in frameworks for assessing DHTs, including aspects related to regulation, interoperability, and organizational change, and how these frameworks can serve as governance mechanisms within European health policy. With a background as a nurse, Line brings extensive practical experience from diverse healthcare settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing, pedagogical training, a master’s in health sciences, and a PhD in Health Informatics. Her expertise combines qualitative research methods with policy insights to guide responsible integration of technology into healthcare.
